It's been freezing at night here near Seattle for the last few days but gorgeous during the days---but cool. Our mountains got several inches of snow from this front too. Keep it there please!!!

@Malcontent

It sure is pretty!  No fun driving in it last night 30mph on major freeways in metro Denver slow but sure though.

And @Kachina624 I hope you do get moisture from this storm fingers crossed!

In the pic you can see some of the golden leaves peeking out they'll be gone soon.  Bye bye fall.

I like a little snow. Note I said a little snow. I'm not ready for it, as I love fall and we were having a beautiful one until the last week of 80 degree temperatures and frankly, I'd rather have snow than more hot weather, which I loathe. We get enough of it from May through September and beyond here in the mid-Atlantic region.

It would be great if the posters would put their locations, many do not.

I got out of bed last night and turned on the AC.  It was too hot to sleep and my husband took the screens off of the windows yesterday for the winter season, so I couldn't  open the windows

Today the temp was 65ish.  Tonight will be in the mid 50's.  We are not expecting snow or very cold weather for the next week or two which is a good thing.  It is still fall.

I am not looking forward to the freezing cold, ice and snow.  It leads to too many accidents, deaths, and high heat bills.

Winter is my least favorite season....I am hoping for an early spring.

Pops took out Guiseppi, Luigi, and Guido to PP even though they have PP pads and we both ran around the yard for 30ish minutes trying to get them all in.

And with the snow…and the boys…it begins.

@Malcontent ... I love the names of your fur boys!!!

...and it begins! How much snow did you end up getting?

I just read in another post it's your last winter here. Where are you going??

@Malcontent  Better you than me!!  I hate snow even tho I don't have to shovel it or drive in it but it can make walking treacherous.  Hope not to see a flake of it this winter--LOL!!

@kaydee50 I am so with you on this. I'm in CT. I loved that we had 2 mild winters in a row. Which means, and they are saying...we may be in for the opposite this year. I despise winter. And it's just feels like our longest season...probably is...not on the calender, but temps and weatherwise...it goes on for about 5 sometimes 6 months, bleeding into both fall and spring at both ends. ugh.

I've had more than enough "character building" of harsh winters, and blizzards to last my lifetime! We are hoping to plan to escape for a bit in Feb. Having some escape plans can help a bit...

I'm wondering where these people are too...the OP with the snow and the East Coaster (since I'm there too) with the predicted 4 degrees?!! Whaaat? Not. Ready. Ever. 😝

@amyb ... If you meant me... No ! I didn't get the 4 degrees temp during the night !! We rarely get that cold! It's the OP that said they may be getting 4 degrees!

oops!! I didn't mean to underline my post! I meant to underline where you wrote "East Coaster"... and now l can't turn it off!! 😂

We got close to 8 inches here. Spent the good part of the cold and windy morning shoveling. That was my day's workout.
