Re: It's A Winter Wonderland

I received a phone call this afternoon from the oncologist nurse. They cancelled my appointment for Thursday, and said they would reschedule.

They did send in for my medicine, as we had discussed it at my last visit right before radiation.  My DH picked it up for me, and I just now took the first one. Tiny pill, smaller than a baby aspirin.

We had a thunderstorm a while ago. I love to hear the thunder.

I think after tonight our rain goes away for a few days.

I hope today has been good to everyone here.

Shiro, the world’s most relaxed cat, has sadly died at the age of 18.

Shiro became social media famous for his ability to fall asleep at any time, anywhere.

Cats are known to be pretty lazy animals, but Shiro took the crown – with his owner even being able to balance things on his head while he was chilling or sleeping.

If I did that to one of my cats, they’d have definitely had something to say about it, which proves how zen Shiro really was.

An Instagram fan page for Shiro confirmed the popular cat’s passing, stating he passed away on March 2, 2020.

@AnikaBrodie ,

Patricia,

You asked me earlier this week if we had been out to eat yet, and we never did go. Most of the restaurants here are not open for dining in at this time. I think they are offering curbside, or delivery in most instances.

In the meantime, I have been cooking, and that is good for me. It gives me something to focus on, and plan for. I enjoy trying new recipes. Tonight I am planning a salad, and crack chicken. We have never had that dish. It should be very tasty.

I am working on washing bed linens today, and I rest in between.

I hope all is well in your household. The rain that we had here has moved on. Very warm, and high clouds today.

Hugs, and love across the miles.

Love,

Gail

This beautiful graphic is mesmerizing.  It's the fog and the mist and the benches and the mini-moon lights and the brick walkway and the trees (all in one total package).  Smiley Happy  Is it a park in your town?

It makes me feel like I'm part of a cocoon.  I love sitting in our sunroom in the early morning watching the fog dissipate allowing the sun to shine.  I can picture myself sitting in this park, just contemplating nature at its best.

I hope you're feeling well today.  Have you felt well enough yet to celebrate at the restaurant you mentioned?  We don't have them in PA, although we do have a few Mexican restaurants in our area.

@AnikaBrodie ,

Patricia,

This is not from my hometown. I got it from a peaceful pictures website. It is very calming.

Re: It's A Winter Wonderland

@Tissyanne

Gail ~ Good morning.  I'm still trying to catch up on posts from the last several days and saw you had a post on the winter thread re. Arimidex and its side effects.  I googled the med and found this information on one of the websites:

"Common Arimidex side effects may include: weakness, hot flashes; numbness or tingly feeling in your skin; swelling in your ankles or feet; joint pain or stiffness, problems with your fingers while gripping; sore throat, headache, back pain, bone pain; depression, mood changes, sleep problems (insomnia); high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, pounding in your neck or ears); nausea, vomiting; mild rash."  Remember, if only one or a few people have the listed side effects it is included as a side effect for the med.

If you wish you can google Arimidex.  There are many websites that give detailed information on that drug.  Don't get too stressed about side effects you may have initially, but if you have continuous difficulty with a particular side effect please report that to your medical team.

I was on Fareston for five years and my initial side effects were hot flashes, joint pain, nausea, dry eyes and skin, dizziness and itching.  These side effects got easier or disappeared after I was on Fareston for awhile.  The first year I saw my doctor every 3 months, the second through fourth year it was every six months, the 5th year was once a year.   At the end of the fifth year I was doing well and the doctor removed the Fareston medication altogether.

This morning we're having intermittent rain and the forecast is for strong T-storms later today.  By mid-afternoon the temp may reach 75 with sun.  Then for the next several days it will be back in the 40's.  Some crazy weather here in PA.

Take care and stay safe.  (((Elbow Hugs))) and love.  And, as always, prayers.                       ~ Patricia
