I am still canning, but I had to stop for a few minutes to enjoy that soft pitter patter  on the copper roof of our gazebo. The sound is so sweet.I put up rain chimes, those little cups on a chain that spill into each other than make a bell like sound. My kitties are out sitting in it ,in wonder ,waiting for dinner, my farm kids are milling about enjoying the little  bit of  rain.Something refreshing about the air,to breathe deeply that country air,it is invigorating and Cleansing...Thanking the creator for this small gift.I know it is the little soul stirring gifts bestowed up on us,that are signs from the creator of all, showing us he knows our needs and provides body and soul..Hugs dear ones,MaryAnne

Re: It is starting to rain...

Wow, I could see that scene with my mind's eye as I read your post.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

Re: It is starting to rain...

I miss that soft gentle kind of rain.Unfortunately, that isn't what we get most of the time . We get a deluge, like someone is pouring out a bucket on your head, accompanied by thunder and lightening in frightening amounts and  winds. Fortunately it doesn't last long.

I miss the gentle summer rains in Pa. that last all day and really give all the plants a good soaking without ripping all the flowers off. Those were days I never minded being at my job.

Re: It is starting to rain...

I'd be happy with any rain.  Rain is my favorite cozy weather and I can't remember the last time we had any.  Literally. I can't remember. It was sometime last year, but it didn't last very long.  Thanks for sharing yours with me @Still keeper of the koi
