As for what's hit my door, Lincoln is the worst offender, by far.  The size of those THREE boxes, with one tiny item in each.

So this has been a long standing gripe of mine for years and years.  I don't know if he's right or not but DH said he can understand why (in this instance, Sephora) they do that.  He says it's probably cheaper to have one basic size box (that most orders fit in) than it is to buy and manage multiple sizes.

@monicakm That is certainly a possibility I had never considered. And, if free shipping is involved, they can predict what that would cost as a loss.

@monicakm Yes, I ordered a lip balm and it came in an

8 inch x 10 inch box. A padded envelope would have been sufficient.
