This is the fourth week that we have been under a severe threat for EF4 weather here in Mississippi,  I know that we are not alone in this threat but when it comes through at night for some reason I get fearful.  We had a tornado that came through at EASTER in 1984 that  took out one of our two grocery stores in town and killed and injured numerous people.  That has engraved a respect and fear that is unsettling at times.  Take care and stay alert to all our forum friends.

Everything seems more scary at night so your fears are understandable.  Fortunately I live in a place that has no tornadoes or hurricanes.  Drought is our biggest worry.  Please be cautious and try not to worry.  I hope your community has a warning siren.

@Boomernichols

We're under various weather warnings from that same storm system as you.  And yes, this is the 4th week in a row!  Strange how it's been mid-week each time.

The first week I wasn't too concerned but that evening an EF-3 tornado tore through several areas on the eastern side of New Orleans.  Two young people were killed and many others lost their homes.  So now I pay a lot more attention to these severe weather warnings.  Wishing us all a safe and uneventful evening!

We were under threat of severe weather and possible tornados here today but the early heavy rain dropped the temp so the threat of tornados were dropped and it's just raining now thank goodness. The temp has dropped to 45 from 71 early this morning. We are now looking for frost in the morning. Crazy weather !!

@Boomernichols   Am sad to hear of such scary weather there.  Hope you & loved ones are able to stay safe.

BTW, are u aware if u live near an area that has heavy "Fracking" activities?  Heavy "Fracking" has been suspected of causing an unusual amount of increased volatile tornado activities.    (I don't know what a person/family is to do if this is the case, tho.)    Pls stay safe!
