I placed an order at 2 pm from Amazon and it was just delivered at 8 pm. 6 hour delivery. That's what I call service.

Zappos is amazing also. I wonder how they do it?

Do you live next door to the warehouse or did a drone deliver it?
It appears stress in their warehouses is unbelievable.
Complaints from Amazon employees.
Timed toilet breaks. Some keep urine bottles on nearby shelves so they won't have to race to the restroom. Impossible targets. Exhausting intolerable working conditions. Staff paid less than living wage.
"My body ached. My fitness tracker showed I walked around 10 miles most days."
"Do you shop at Amazon?"
"I used to. I've stopped after I've seen what the system is built on the back of. It takes a little longer to find alternative sellers of some items, but it is possible."

Amazon is sneaky with its pricing, too.
I'd rather wait a few days than know employees are treated like "cattle" and "robots" to get a package to me in 6 hours.
Maybe, QVC doesn't want to treat their employees like this. Amazon will do everything it can to run all other retailers out of business.

Yes I live within 10 miles of the warehouse. Plus Amazon had what I wanted $25 cheaper than anyplace else. It wasn't a big deal that I was able to get the item that day, it just so happened that way.

It really is mind boggling. My friend and I joke that Amazon must have a wharehouse at the bottom of our street because so often we get our purchases in under 12 hours.

Zappos is owned by Amazon. Fulfillment of Zappos orders is sometimes done through Amazon shipping services or adjacent warehouses. Zappos deliveries do come in Zappos cartons, not the Amazon boxes with the "smile" on it, but the shipping efficiency is pretty much the same.
I've had very quick delivery from both companies, though I am not a Prime member, but I am on some kind of expedited shipping list with Zappos just for ordering 3 pairs of sneakers in one order.
Customer service in both companies is friendly and effective. I guess Amazon and Zappos follow a successful business model.

Amazon sellers do play games with pricing, but I can usually wait them out. Prices seem to get raised on popular products.
