Kia cars liked it so much, they featured it in a commercial:

Oops! Sorry, @house_cat... Didn’t mean to be a bummer.

Maybe because it seems like a “send-off” song to you, too. That's always how it's resonated with me. I do so love it, though! 😍

I believe the Al Green song is called, "People get ready".

Oh, no! It's not a bummer... it just makes me think of my own kids and nieces, nephew... all the young, vulnerable people for whom I wish joy.  I think it was a great choice.

Re: If your life had a theme song, what would it be?

"Feels Like Home"

Something in your eyes
Makes me want to lose myself
Makes me want to lose myself
In your arms
There's something in your voice
Makes my heart beat fast
Hope this feeling lasts
The rest of my life
If you knew how lonely my life has been
And how long I've been so alone
If you knew how I wanted someone to come along
And change my life the way you've done
It feels like home to me
It feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where
I come from
It feels like home to me
It feels like home to me
Feels like I'm all the way back where I belong

I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor

Been through a very rough spot with my love this year, but getting better

Oh, no, not I, I will survive Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I'll stay alive I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give And I'll surviveI will survive, hey, hey. It took all the strength I had not to fall apart Kept trying hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart And I spent, oh, so many nights just feeling sorry ...

@dooBdoo, "It is Well With My Soul" is a beautiful song and BYU's Vocal Point does a great job with it. (I have a couple of Vocal Point's CD's). Do you know the true story behind the song? It will tug at your heartstrings for sure.

This past December, on PBS, they showed The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square Christmas Concert from Salt Lake City. Hugh Bonneville did a dramatic narration of the true story of the Spafford family while actors reenacted it. Then the Tabernacle Choir beautifully sang, "It is Well With My Soul."
