For all of my QVC forum friends who have lost their mothers.
If roses grow in heaven, Lord
please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my mother's arms
and please tell her they're from me.
Tell her that I love her and I miss her and when she turns to smile place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while because remembering her is easy, I do it everyday. But there's an ache upon my heart that will never go away.

You are so right - the ache never goes away.
And along with my dear mother, I add the names of other women in my life who also "mothered" me.

@meallen616 I know, I relate to this as well...one of my favorite sayings my mom had (and she had so many) was "it'll all come out in the wash." She always said it in such a simple, self-assured way to me...like she really believed it, and then, so did I. It was simple encouragement, and it always seemed to help. Now I'll often say it to myself, in her memory. She also always said "Better days are coming", and I have a tee-shirt that says that.
Nothing can replace a mom's love & support. I feel her with me always, but miss her, terribly, everyday.

It is coming on the 3rd anniversary of my mother's passing. We were blessed to have her live 9 1/2 yrs longer after two aortic aneurysms. She was the strength for her 7 kids and 12 grandchildren when our dad passed just 3 1/2 yrs prior to her. We are and were a close family despite being all over the world.
My mom was there for each of her children--if she could be--when we had health issues. She stayed in the hospital with me when I was diagnosed with a serious health issue shortly after I got married. (It didn't hurt that she had been a nurse and we had our own patient advocate). She was there for my sister as she went thru cancer treatment. She was there for another sister when she gave birth to a child with serious heart health issues. She was there for my father after his stroke. She was there for a brother after his loss of eyesite in one eye.
For my mother, family was the most important entity It showed in every day and every breath that she had and took.
She is very much missed (as is my father) by family and friends.

That was a beautiful tribute to your mom @msgb . Thank you for sharing her dedication to her family. This was the first major health issue I've gone through without my parents. Even though dad is still alive and I think he understands what happened to me, he really wasn't here. I miss his strength and his take charge disposition. I miss mom's soothing voice and gentle touch. She was strong but at the same time gentle. Life hard.

I had the same feelings when I read it. I'm going to incorporate this with a photo of mom and print and frame it.
