I took this picture at 7:30 am today. I was talking to my neighbor and she said she'd been here for 13 years and this is the first time it's snowed here. This is in northern California.

What a beautiful and unexpected surprise!   Enjoy !!

I lived in Las Vegas for a while about ten years ago, and it snowed there twice.  Everyone ran out of the place we worked to see it!  Obviously it didn't last very long, but it was a fun and unexpected way to start our morning.  :-)  

Mother nature is up to all sorts of surprises this season that's for sure.  Thanks for posting this picture.

@Runner26    I'm in SoCal.   No snow where I live  - too close to the ocean - but in the local mountains and foothills, we have snow.  Crazy weather - the East Coast is enjoying warm temps and us the opposite.

Lucky us!  Your storm is supposed to hit us Sunday.  I'm not sure we're ready after the one we went through yesterday.  I guess it'll come ready or not.

I faintly recall a huge scare re:  projecting a future world-wide Ice Age. 

Anyway, wishing everyone a wonderful time and memories of this special snowfall in areas where it's uncommon.  

And, of course, safety in other areas where the snow could be dangerous.
