and one of the things I do is add in nice comments that people have made about me from time to time.  It's nice to revisit the kind things strangers tell you about yourself since it doesn't happen all that often these days. 

I don't know about anyone else but it seems like 2019 has been a rough one.  Not sure if it's the nasty weather, nasty news cycle, or everything in between.  But a lot of people are hypersensitive or miserable these days even when you are trying to help them out personally or professionally.  They just can't seem to get out of their own way to smile or take a deep breath.

Not sure why I wanted to post this but I thought it was a nice thing to do for yourself if you ever need a pick me up or to remember that someone at some point was impressed by you and/or your kindness.  LOL

Its nice that you keep a journal. Im too scared to do that now ever since my privacy was violated when young and others found and read my journal. 

As for your observation, people have been grumpy all along not just 2019. It may be a rough year for some but for the most part, grumpy people are gonna stay grumpy weather it sunny or cold outside. Mean people are gonna stay mean weather the news are good or not.

I always enjoy your posts and sense of humor!

One thought is that the tone of world events, I’m speaking globally here, is very depressing, gut wrenching even, for those of us who follow.

Due to this, at least for the time being, I’ve reworked my business model.  I’ve always worked a good bit internationally because I LOVE to travel, but with all the stuff going on, I’m hanging much closer to home, doing more on line, and I’m a fearless traveler.

So, my point is, lots going on people, are on edge, economy, changes, etc. Also, I’ve noticed a good many, relatively new  posters who, of course come with new, different styles.  Naturally, everyone is welcome, but I too notice a bit of a change in tone.

Thanks guys!  I really wasn't looking for praise although now I do have some new thoughts to add.  

Coming here is usually a high point during a stressful day.  You all make me smile and I appreciate that and all of you very much.

I was just thinking the same thing as I went thru some of my facebook posts. Some of my friends posts (whether they are anti-democratic or anti-republican) have become incrediblely crude and offensive. These are some of the nicest people. I have my views, but stay away from politics on public forums.

@mintedrose.  I totally understand.  I live alone and I still hide it.  And you're right.  This year has just started off rough professionally.  Usually people aren't this miserable for a few months yet.  I can usually make it past V-Day before the puss faces and attitudes come back.  The holiday high did not happen.  

@Drythe You are so correct.  I stopped watching the news and took everything off of my news feed that was just nasty and baiting and sensationalistic and boy did that help.  I still see some of it but I try and stay clear of the negativity as much as I can.  Great advice as always.
