I've read the OBITs forever.
This year I turned 60.
Now when I read them I keep thinking I don't have much time left.
anyway..... living the best I can for what time I have remaining. (I'm not ill in any way)

How about 81 years. I am not in my home town and in LA area so I don't know anyone yet.

I never read them just for the sake of reading them unless I'm looking up a certain person.
I'm 65 & my mother is 92. She's still going strong so who knows? I could live another 30 years but things could suddenly end tomorrow. I try not to think about it too much.

I went down hill at 53 almost 18 years ago and had to quit my job immediately. My DH retired a year later at 55. Things were going as good as could be expected. The 60's were good. In September of 2018, my DH was diagnosed with Legionaire's Disease & I was praying for 2019 to get here. In January, I had a PE & I was never so glad to turn a year older 2 weeks later. Now I am praying for 2020. Life is what it is and we are still enjoying life!

a long time ago I read an article that said people are least likely to die three months before their birthdays and more likely to die three months after their birthdays so that is one thing I look for when I read them

Never read them.
"Each day above ground is a good day"
"Never argue with a fool. Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

@Mary Bailey Just be gad your not reading your name, I always think that. My husband doesn't like that I read them. It does make me feel like every one that were a group I chummed with as a kid , they are all gone. But most of them it was because of their life style. And they live crazialy.

@lovescats I disagree. My granddaughter died a month after her 10th birday, and my DH died 2 months before his.

@Love my grandkids I don't understand what you mean ?
