Implanting the seeds is a relatively simple procedure.  Seeds don't have the side effects of a radical retropubic prostatectomy. Not every patient is a candidate for seeds, so this is a plus for your husband.  Because of the radioactive nature, precautions must be taken.  These precautions may seem difficult, however, compared to an open prostatectomy or even a robot assisted one, the recovery is easier for the patient.
