I posted a few weeks ago I was taking part in a 5 mile run on the boardwalk in my beachtown.  It was a beautiful morning this past Saturday.  I was easily sailing through my usual 3 miles, then 3.5 - no problem but yikes started to feel it at 4, kept going but slowed up a bit and I made it to 4.5 and before I knew it, rounded the last half mile and was so glad to see the words "Finish Line"...

Three miles is my 2 to 3 times a week usual and man those extra 2 miles are hard - for me anyway because I rarely push myself beyond 3 because I don't have to.  It took me an hour and 15 minutes.  My 12 year old grandaughter and daughter did the 15 miles and finished in 3 hours.  So proud of them!

 I was exhausted and took off work today.  I have walked leisurely on treadmill past 2 days and will take it slow for a bit.   I challenged myself and that's the last challenge! At 69 years old, I'm thrilled to be able to run, walk, bike and weight train so this mama is sticking to her usual 😣

@bmorechick  Way to go, Bmorechick 🙌✨🏃‍♀️! I love your story of how you ran through that whole race and pushed through the tough part towards the end with such an impressive race-time of 1 hour and 15 minutes to cover 5 miles! That's really truly amazing.  Your daughter and granddaughter did such great jobs with their running times too! You are a running and workout superstar. I commend you for your strength and determination to always be your fittest and strongest.  Fabulous job, I'm proud of you too! 🏆💗

@SportyShorty07 @TerryNJ @shoekitty

I've lived a lifetime of sports and athletics, as did my parents.  They were agile into their 90's when old age just caught up with them.

I am quite sore and slow today, but it will pass. My hips hurt. My grandaughter is a bit sore but she had dance tonight so she will work it out. My daughter is 45 and a marathon runner so she's a bit stiff, but nothing painful.

Thank you all for your good thoughts 🙂
