Finding a penny is also associated with dead loved ones leaving signs. I find one every so often in the strangest places. I would prefer to find one that someone lost or fell out of a pocket than intentionally thrown but that's me. If people who found yours are happy, that's ok too.

OK! I have a new hobby! LOL!!! I don't associate anything with finding a penny, so I'll make others happy. I am always fretting that I get so many pennies in my car change holder (it is tiny and apparently the Japanese don't know about driving through for tea and getting change!) so now I'll spread the luck!!!

Just hope someone over 70 finds those pennies because I think only "older" know about that good luck thing with pennies. Pennies are just a nuisance for most people now. We have two huge penny jugs at home, at some point we'll take all those pennies to the change machine at the grocery store. But no time soon. They are pretty heavy.

I must disagree with you! I prefer to find pennies someone deliberately threw than to think some poor soul lost his money! (Even if it is just a penny!😉) In today's political and social climate I'm just happy that another human being wants three other people to be happy!😊

@Sooner I think if the act was done out of good intentions and to make someone happy, it can only bring joy and good things from the act.

My dh brought home a large glass water jug he found in a garbage pile somewhere! We started putting all our pennies in there to use for a trip to Disney with our grand! After two years it's only about a tenth full! But, our grand (she's 7) loves dropping the pennies in and seeing how full it is! Leaving them for others is a nice thought, but I worry if not found they may be swept up unknowingly and tossed away. When not get a jar (a much smaller one than I have 😉) and fill it. Then, drop the money off at the charity of your choice! Pennies add up! I love the saying, "Look after the pennies and the dollars take care of themselves!"

But then I'd have to bend over! Remember Joan Rivers said "If God had wanted us to bend over he would have put diamonds on the floor" . . .

LOL! @Sooner Can't you hear her saying that? I miss Joan.
Good for you for wanting to give people a happy experience by leaving pennies to find.
