Re: I Enjoyed Watching Meghan’s Mother Most

She exhibited class that equaled the royal family.  She looked elegant.  I did feel sorry for her that she looked so alone.

ITA; I think Meghan's mother looked lovely and elegant but I felt sorry for her sitting there all by herself. Was anyone designated to escort her or keep her company? She's the mother of the bride, for heaven's sake!

I wonder if Doria knew any of the Suits cast members--you know, so she could hang with them at the reception! 😁😁😁

I've been wondering if Meghan is pregnant already. It seems to me they kind of snickered when the officiant mentioned children. Well she wouldn't be he first pregnant bride in British history.

She showed more poise in that situation than most of us could ever do!

Having a bad apple in the family just makes her seem even more genuine and relatable; many can identify with her...I think most people just shrugged it off when they learned of her father's nonsense....it was better that he didn't attend because he would have been the center of attention instead of his daughter. Wonderful to have Charles walk her down the aisle....no biggie.

It was their wedding and they could invite whomever they wanted, but why not any of her family?  She invited a lot of her castmates to the big event, but only had her mother to represent her?  Seemed strange to me.  I wished her mother could have had someone beside her during the ceremony.

I was up at 3 a.m. fixing coffee and warming scones, and then took a front row seat for the wedding.

It was a beautiful service, Meghan was a beautiful bride and Harry was definitely her handsome prince. It was very endearing to see how emotional he was, his love for her was written all over his face. ❤️

Prince Charles was very kind and gracious to Meghan's mother and I'm sure it was very meaningful to both Harry and Meghan. Doria carried herself with dignity and grace, and a mother's love shone from her face. It seemed to be a bittersweet moment for her, as it is for all mothers. Doria is a class act all the way.

The only thing I find baffling is why Doria was in the second row and Jessica Mulroney had the prime front row seat. I've heard that perhaps it was to give Doria a better view. I noticed the queen was also in the second row, so maybe that's the case.

You could see a strength in Meghan's mother. She has a presence to be so tiny. She has what they say a quiet presence, a confidence about herself.. She didn't appear nervous or flustered at all, she  to me seemed very comfortable, and very much at ease. I am so glad she stayed true to herself with her braids and nose ring. That is who she is! Good for her! She looked elegant, well put together and most of all very happy and thrilled for her daughter and new son in law......

I felt a little bit sorry for her as she did not have anyone with her at the church.  I wish she could of invited a best friend or someone to sit next to her.  Maybe there was someone but they did not sit with her at the church but will be there for the luncheon and dinner? Hope so, I would be so uncomfortable being by myself.

This is all so new to her and she handled it so beautifully.  She has such a intelligent  and beautiful daughter  - they are blessed to have each other.

@BunSnoop

Did you not notice how Prince Charles grabbed her by her hand and took her with him as they were all leaving the church?  Not much has been said about that, but it was a very loving thing for him to do.

@FuzzyFace

I wondered that also, since the gown seemed a little loose in the waist area.  I wouldn't be surprised at an announcement of her pregnancy in the near future.  She is 36, after all.
