Re: I Did Something That I Have A Fear Of

@SportyShorty07

Thank you, but I know, I received more from my experience than the people I met. They are unforgettable.

I'm with you. I was super introverted my whole life. Then I got a job that required me to interact with people all over the country, and then I spent years traveling to train them. I was always a basket case before each training class or presentation.

I took on fake it till you make it. It's like I would take on an alternate personality - clever, outgoing, friendly, as well as an expert in my fields.

It even got to the point that people would say thank you after I fired them.

@Carmie

Same for me. It's something about the openness and the idea of falling off the edge.

I'm another one who is afraid of everything. If I didn't push through the fear I'd be homebound, locked in my room.  Now that I'm older it's more acceptable for me to decline invitations to do things that make me uncomfortable, but of course there are still many I have to cope with in order to live a full life.

Public speaking terrifies me, yet as a teacher I was never afraid to speak in front of hundreds of students or even colleagues.
