Is this the first year or time your son asked you what you wanted for a Christmas gift? That's kind of odd.

I've buy whatever I want all year long and don't hold out. But I've never bought a 'to-me-from-me* Christmas gift.

I guess that would be something I would ask for, if asked at Christmas (or Mother's day or my birthday.)

Do you ask him what he'd like? I ask my kids (adults, also) what they'd like, and also ask their husband and wives.

Not sure what you'd bought your husband over the years, if you ever asked him. My husband and I never exchange gifts, since we've been married. Both completely content with that, I'm sure.

You haven't minced words about your ex, it's out there how you feel about him, what he did all day long and who he *backed*. lol. I guess the both of you are glad it's over.
