I haven’t measured in a while but I’ve always been 5’7” and pant length still fits the same. I’m 64.

At my last physical, I was 5'7". Actually, I never thought it was that tall. There are women who are much taller than me, and kids are growing even taller than my generation. (I'm 68.) I've always liked my height...not overly tall and not petite.

I was 5'7" most of my adult life, but now am 5'6.5"  I always thought 5'7" was a perfect height. Not too tall, not too short.

I am 5'7", and I was never made to feel any kind of way for being tall.  In fact, I wasn't considered tall, since most in my family were my height or taller.  I had friends my height and shorter, but still I cannot rememeber being called out for being 5'7".  I do remember a couple of friends being called "shorty" and "lil' bit" as affectionate names because they were about 5'.  They adopted those name well into their adult lives.

I always wanted to be taller, I’m just 4’ 11”.  I say at 5’ 7” you are perfect height. My sister in law is 6’ And she still wears high heels. She looks beautiful as I’m sure you do too.

@FlowerBear: I’m 73 and after just getting measured I’m still around 5.1”. In college we had a girlfriend who was 6ft and she walked tall and proud. As we'd walk on campus two of us shorties would bookend her and she never felt self conscious. She probably got comments. We never noticed any and she never complained.

Hope you can release any negative feelings because in the end no one else should have any power over you

I'm around 5'3".  Maybe slightly taller.  I always wanted to be tall... 5'7"-5'8" would have been perfect!.  My 93 year old mother still tells people how I told her (when I was a teenager) that it was her fault that I was short!

You have a physical presence when you are taller that you just don't have when you're short.  And, as has already been mentioned, although it wasn't something I realized when I was a teen, there are far more clothing options for those who don't fall into the petite spectrum.

I am 5’9”. My sisters are taller than I am. I wouldn’t have minded a couple more inches.

I like being tall...I can reach items on the top shelf! The only problem I have is that sleeves and pants are too short. Oh, and only average size men were interested in me! LOL!!

interesting story...when I worked on a blood draw team, there were 2 tall and 2 short females. We did an impromptu survey and found that patients refused the shorties WAY more often than the Amazons! I guess we looked more intimidating or older or something.

I'm only 5'1".

The only time it bothers me is when I'm trying to reach for something on a top shelf and I have to climb a step stool or drag the chair over.

Even though I fall into the petite category, pants and long sleeves are way too short on me because I have long legs and long arms.
