House Explosion in St. Louis this morning !

[ Edited ]

Please keep these famiies in your prayers. Thank goodness no fatalities ! I watched it on the news this morning with pictures of the burning homes, first responders onsite and the gas company searching for the cause. They interviewed residents in the area who described what they were doing when the explosion happened. I used to live in the area but I didn't know anyone affected. Very sad but again no loss of life thank the Lord ! They are still investigating the cause

From the news station:

St. Louis County is investigating the cause of an explosion that shook north county this morning, destroyed five homes and damaged others and sent several people to the hospital.

Around 9:15 a.m., Florissant fire crews responded to reports of a three-alarm fire and multi-house explosion on the 3700 block of Candlewyck Drive and 3900 block of Belcroft in Black Jack. There were reports of people trapped in the rubble, and responding firefighters conducting search and rescue found three victims, who were taken to area hospitals.

I've seen that happening a few times on the news. Ususally, a leaky propane tank or natural gas leak. Glad there were no fatalities.

Re: House Explosion in St. Louis this morning !

The news this morning is now reporting a 18 yo in critical condition. They are also saying the gas company has found no issues with the gas lines in the area. A little girl around the age of 5 or so was at home and hit in the head by flying debris from the explosion. She was treated and released.  Video from the news of the flattened homes is just unreal !!  The Red Cross is helping the families. Thanks for your prayers.
