I never walk around outside or do any yard work since moving to FL never know what's "lurking" in the grass!!!

I was sitting on my lanai reading with my kitties and all of a sudden I hear them hissing....omg look who was right at my door!!!

I ran with my kitties ....I almost had a heart attack - he started banging into the porch door...he's still there, yikes!!!!

How big is he? If he's small, his mama is close by.

You  must never let those kitties out-day or night.  That is frightening.  Hope you can calm down.  Might want to inquire with your neighbors if this is usual and if there are any other "surprises" you should be aware of.

About 3' my spouse said he's just a baby...well if his mom is nearby I hope she comes to get him tonight cuz if he's there in the AM don't know!

we live on a golf course and the pond is 2 houses up -- I'm thinking he just got a little lost cuz I know there is a 6-8 ft one in there!!!

First time I've seen one this close to the house...we did have a big water moccasin crossing our street after a big rain storm. I'll never get used to this!!!

Ah Florida is such a lovely place!  I can't for the life of me understand why anyone wants to live there.  There are other places without snow where you don't have dangerous reptiles on your doorstep.

our lanai is a large screened in birdcage porch off my kitchen/dining room area with glass sliders.   My kitties are indoor cats I'd never let them go outside.
