I'm working all weekend!  Saturday 3-9; Sunday 11-4; Monday 2-6:30.  I work at Vera Bradley Outlet.  I'm sure we will be very busy.  Gotta sell those backpacks & lunchbags!  And blankets!  We have been extremely busy since things have opened up.

Now, all we need to do is teach our customers how to put items back if they change their mind.  Usually it's dumped wherever.

Enjoy your weekend.

Girl, I feel you~I worked at Loft outlet about 9 years ago for a few years...I worked a Labor Day weekend...what a zoo. People really COULD behave better. We ran around like nutjobs all day. Had a "picnic" in the backroom for us all...we all brought food, sometiimes the company bought food to "fill the fridge" on days like this. And the constant LINESsssss at the registers. Good luck to you~I hope you get a much deserved few days off after this weekend!!

We did make it to Watch Hill RI beach yesterday and it was a beautiful day~not too many people either. The water and waves were perfect, so was the weather~sunny, 70's, low humidity. We really enjoyed it.

Today~chillin' in our neck of the woods, taking it as it comes.

Enjoy, everyone~ 😎

I will be "working" on laundry & some light cleaning! DH will turn 72 on Monday so planning a small bbq. His favorite ribs, twice baked potatoes & coleslaw. Need to leave room for our Danish layer birthday cake we get from our local famous bakery for every birthday for over 20 years!

Everyone enjoy the holiday weekend. Praying for those struggling in the aftermath of the horrific storms. If you are able, please donate to a relief fund. ❤️

No family or friends coming this weekend.  Kind of had it blocked off on purpose.  We did yard work this a.m.  Just lazing around.  Will sit out back and finish my book (I hate finishing a good book!) and maybe doze off.  No beach today.  Maybe a bike ride.....

In talking to friends, I learned that several have cancelled their plans that included travel. They simply didn't feel it was safe at this time. Seems like  more people are taking this seriously, hopefully things will improve.

My husband and I are staying home alone.

The virus is spreading rapidly across WV.   Our State Fair ran from August 9-18, and by day 4, there were confirmed cases and numerous exposures from outside vendors.  However, the State Fair brings in 3 million dollars to Greenbrier Co, the very county our Governor is from, so the decision was made to hold the event this year, and attendance seemed to be high based on TV coverage.

Yesterday, local TV coverage focused on a popular 2 day outdoor event in Fayette County, which also seemed to have a heavy turnout.   Today's news coverage stated that events were cancelled due to identifying positive cases of the virus, and that every person who attended events yesterday should consider themselves exposed to Covid!

I have been vaccinated for months, and don't have a problem keeping medical or dental appts, and continue to get pedicures in the very small shop I've been going to for 12 years.   I do all the things I need to do, but do not put myself into any crowd situation indoors or outdoors.   I still follow the same standard precaution guidelines I learned as a hospital employee, with the addition of a mask when mandatory.
