We are having some friends over Sunday afternoon and having a taco bar themed dinner.  It should be fun!

@Luvsmyfam

No plans, but! This holiday has ruined my regular weekend schedule. The holiday is on a Monday, but! For some unknown reason(to me) the ice rink has decided to be closed on Sunday, which is 1 my regular days of a 2 hour ice skating session.

My wife left this morning for a Pet Sitting job in another city and won't be back till Wednesday night. Not that it would change our holiday plans. Labor Day has never been a special holiday to me. It was when I was working(almost 30 years ago now) and we got the 3 day weekend. Otherwise, Eh!

No plans for me--staying home except for a few trips to town---but I haven't  gone out much during this virus thing---

Zero plans for me, as usual.

And, to be honest, I am Covid hesitant again.  I go out and do my errands and stuff, but like to sit across from someone at an indoor lunch or something like that?  Not so sure about that.

I WAS going to call a friend a few days ago and see if she wanted to go to lunch but then, in a group text, she said she had been directly exposed and was quarantining.  That kind of lessened my desire to go out to lunch, with her and anyone else.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Nothing special planned for us. Just relaxing and staying home. Will watch some college football.

I hope everyone enjoys the weekend.

Hoping those impacted by flooding can find comfort in the care and help of others.

Amen. As we are enjoying some beautiful weather today, only because we were lucky not to be in the path of this recent storm, when so many others were impacted, as well as those still trying to recover in Tenn, as well as some local tragedies (in CT, the loss of that state trooper in the flooding, and the loss of a young couple in a small plane crash, leaving behind an 18 mo. old, and wife was pregnant, both in their early 30's), those overseas hoping to get home safely....all of those suffering this weekend, weigh heavy on my mind. You said it well...I am hoping the same.

Meanwhile, everyone else enjoy, be safe, count your blessings (not preaching, just saying..)

My daughter will come over on Sunday and we will do a girls' luncheon (outdoors).  Then do a little shopping.

I'm pretty much done with fall cleaning and decorating so we'll do some yard work tomorrow and attend church in the late afternoon. I'll make a grocery store run for picnic supplies on Sunday and then we'll grill out on Monday. Might try to read some mystery books I picked up at the library. I hope that at some point I can wash and dry some like new turtlenecks for the thrift store. If I do, I'll mention it in the decluttering thread.

Edited to say my husband just said "what about college football?" Yeah, that too.

I don't go away on Holiday weekends - Too crowded, too much traffic.

Going to work in the yard and on Sunday I am going to Costco for my appt to install new tires on my car.  I have the DVD for "In the Heights" to watch.  That is about it.
