@hckynutjohn You likely didn't intend to but your post did come off as kind of snotty and I can see where  the OP would take it as she did.

Thought maybe she knew me better than to think I was being negative towards her. Will watch what I type more closely to her if I comment in any of her future posts.

Thank you for this clarification.

I am on your team. I understood what you meant. It was not offensive. I thought you were just trying to say this posts is different from what we have read from you. He wasn't being degrading, it was just lighthearted.

@Luvsmyfam  I could be mistaken but I thought you had two jobs and that you were dating a new guy... that should keep you busy.  LOL

@Luvsmyfam

I get like that and it is a restlessness more than boredom.  I go shopping and realize I don't want to be there.  I watch TV and realize I wasn't paying attention.  Read a book and realize I don't know a thing that was on the pages.  About the only thing that helps is to talk to someone and not all of us have friends and family we can call and talk to.  Nothing worse than being told to be grateful and a lot of people have worse problems.  We know that but it does not change how we feel.  It passes and a good sleeping pill helps.  Never found alcohol did much except make me say or do things I might regret later.

Set up time to help out at a charity once a week (or more) - food bank, through your church, serve a meal at a shelter, etc. They always need help. It's amazing what helping those in need will do for you.

Wow.....I will stop complaining when I do some minor chore today...

Look on the bright side....hopefully your husband will improve, and if you can maintain your sanity in that hurricane of activity, it'll all be done and over with, and when you finally CAN put your feet up, it'll be that much more satisfying....

Good luck....Let the contractors do thier thing, and keep saying to yourself..."This too shall pass" and you will enjoy your home so much more...
