My husband climbed Mt Katahdin in Maine several years ago when he was 60 and tore his MCL. And sprained his ankle! Oof! Had surgery and was on crutches for 6 weeks. Hasn't done it since.

Two stories come to mind when I see the word "hiking".  The woman who was mauled by a lion and the writer who became paralyzed because he fell on a boulder.  The only hiking I do is going from my living room to the kitchen and going from my bedroom to the bathroom.Smiley Very Happy
