my sons hike and have asked me to go..."you run mom, come with us."  Boys, running and climbing up a trail are not the same - at least not for me!  Now, I "hike" on the treadmill, but I do not think I could hike outdoors - nah...

Rescue crews are always going up with stretchers trying to carry down INEXPERIENCED "hikers" from the Phoenix Mountains.      The crew are PARAMEDICS...who have to haul up their equipment on foot to get to these idiots who "think" they are climbers...     

I have seen them up on my local mountain...with floodlights in the middle of the night.

Looks like there are well defined trails and 40s are not old.  A bit steep though.  Wonder what the view from the top is?
