I got one of those and you can't beat a car wash unless you don't have a car! Throws? Most of us have them. Stuff to display like candles, picture frames etc. Most people have what they like and don't want other stuff to dust.

Candy, cookies, gift cards, tea, wine, even dish cloths or towels or nice smelling good dish soap (Williams-Sonoma, or other scented one) etc. To me those are the most generic things I can think of.

I ended up buying a nice throw and it was stolen once so the person receiving it really wanted it.

I really appreciated everone taking the time to reply with such great ideas! I thought they were so great that I made a list of everything so I will be prepared for my shopping next year!
