Re: Has anyone noticed the low inventory in local car dealerships?

My husband is a sales manager & everyone is complaning. The parts needed to complete orders are not available. When they get a load of cars in they are gone in a flash! Covid will be haunting all of us for a few more years I'm afraid!

I thought I heard the other day there are going to be a couple chip factories opening up in the US. Chips are also made in Tawain. Seems there are only a couple places in the world that make them.

It's not just chips, It is actual car parts. Everything is slow because of all the shutdowns.

@ccassaday :  Almost all the world's semi conductor chips are made in Taiwan, which is occupied by Chinese, who are not Communist Chinese ( Google it; they left mainland China in late 1940s).  Yes, they are building new plants to diversify their supply and one huge plant is being built in Phoenix.  I recently bought  TSMC stock, which is supposed to go up significantly in the next 18 months.

Car dealerships can't get cars right now because of the chip issue! You can Google this and read about it. No, dealerships arent going out of business!

It's more then just chips. Ira foam for the seats and other parts like plastic and leather.
