I'm retired so usually I feel every day is Saturday! Just spending time here at home today, doing some laundry (how 2 of us generate so much laundry is a mystery to me)! Quite warm here so maybe just a short walk. Watch TV but of course starting with my coffee!

I'm just so happy ease into this day and have both of my children home.  So far I'm making a big breakfast/brunch for us and then I'll be taking a walk as well before it gets too hot.  

I love not having my whole day planned out.  It feels so good.

It's going to be a hot one today!

Got up & out early this morning. Made a quick stop at the supermarket- needed a few items to make pasta salad for a family BBQ tomorrow.

The next town over had it's town-wide yard sales this morning. So good to see life starting to return to normal!  Picked up a few things and watered the flowers when I returned home. Now I'm in for the day. Time to crank up the A/C for the first time this year.

A sales cleck at our local department store is working her last day today and moving south at some point. She has always been very helpful to my sister and me over the years, so we invited her out for breakfast to say thank you for everything she has done for us over the years.

No special plans for the day, definitely very warm and humid.

@catter70, how nice of you and your sister, I'm sure she appreciated your thoughtfulness.

@ Mumof2, lucky you to have your children home. Our DD will finally be visiting us in 2 weeks. Haven't seen her, except for Skype, for over a year ...Very excited!

Half of Saturday is gone, but I declared a leisure day at noon. Once I did that, I started a project... Just finished. Winding up a busy week, stomach flu on Thursday. I retire on May 28th. Trying to figure out the transition. It will be a good change - but leaving a group of cohorts I dearly enjoyed working with. Will shed a few tears.
