@Luvsmyfam  could it be that it was time for her raise and it just happened to coincide with her getting the bonus?

Your raise might be coming up soon.

@Luvsmyfam I don't know what you mean by "indulge" but okay. You may feel you have a "right' to know. The person in charge may feel differently.

Employees generally don't have that type of right but you go ahead.

@lovesmygrandkids I do believe I have a right to know why I didn't get a raise,so in the near future I can correct the problem. My director said she spoke very highly of my work

In all my years of working, I never knew how much any of my coworkers made!

If I was due a raise, I would feel slighted.

I would be happy with a bonus.

Perhaps the co-worker since she started work after the OP might have been given the raise as a step increase.

Since the Op and the co-worker have different job titles, there are different job responsiblities.

@Love my grandkids, I'm betting that sherri means 'divulge'.

@Luvsmyfam, for what it's worth, I agree w/ those who say MYOB.

And you definitely do not "have the right" to know why her, but not you. That question wouldn't be received well in any job, anywhere.

I think that you and I are roughly the same age. I, for one, am grateful to be working, period.

Just smile, do your job, and go home.

Muddling through...
