Very happy with the couple Macys gift cards I received.  I'll most likely get a new set of sheets, but something else could catch my eye.

I treated myself to my first espresso machine, the Nespresso Evoluo. To my

surprise when I attempted to use it, I couldn't. It needed a factory reset, which

my daughter researched why it wouldn't work and then it worked it's magic.

Great little espresso drinks and larger cups also. In fact, I already drank all

the sample pods it came with and already bought more. They are a bit pricey

but had some offers attached with my purchase. Definitely much more enjoyable

than coffee from my Keurig.

I never heard of Jenny Bird jewelry, but checked out her website after reading your post @Shanus .  There are some beautiful things there!

Wear your new earrings in good health.  Enjoy!

@mrshckynut.  Me too.  Sure simplifies Christmas,  doesn't it?

Some years ago, my sister and I, the only relative with whom I exchanged gifts, decided the postage was so high, and neither of us wanted or needed anything so we quit.  She gets gifts from daughters and their families who live close by, but I have nobody else.

No need to feel sorry for those of us who no longer exchange gifts. My husband and I are at the age where we have most every thing that we need. If there is something that we want we buy it for ourselves. Giving gifts is overrated at this point in life. I don't need any more stuff. Time with my family is the only gift that I need or want.

We purchased gifts for our granddaughters this year and had an early Christmas in November with our family.

Recently my beloved husband was diagnosed with cancer so we decided to only purchase for our grands as his surgery, recovery and treatment will be several hours away and will require lodging for myself while he's in the hospital.

The best gift I could possibly receive is his full and complete recovery which is what I am praying for. We have been together for 45 years this year.

@Shanus
I have seen and admired several pieces in her line but have hesitated to purchase because I wasn't sure how the finish would hold up. So good to know that you, as a jewelry designer yourself, likes her line. I won't hesitate to purchase now. ❤️

@ID2  Why in the world would you feel sorry.

Don't you fret none!

I don't need a romantic gift from my husband of almost 44 years for Christmas

No need for either of us to *go out of our way* to prove to each other or anyone else what we've got going between us.Woman Happy

@ID2   It'll be 56 yrs. for us (I was a baby in diapers when we got married... Lol) and we used to purchase a nice joint gift. Usually something like a trip we'd look forward to, a painting, etc. Time marches on and we have stuff we need to sell now.

I asked for the earrings because I rarely wear my "good jewelry" and sold a lot of it. I'm comfortable wearing well made costume jewelry like jenny Bird, Ana Luisa, etc. Since I used to make jewelry, I can tell if a piece is done well and will last 10 yrs. After that, well, I'm not sure it will matter. OOOOH, yucky thought in the new year.
