My new couch arrived today and I must say drivers who delivered worked so hard and so carefully not to scuff any walls. They had to go up several stairs and ended up taking my bathroom door off.It was touch and go at first, but they figured it out and everything worked out.

I hope Lazyboy pays these very hard workers a decent living..They certainly earned it!

And delivery people have to work in the heat, humidity, rain, everything -

I give them all a lot of credit!

And I hope that they received appropriate tips for their hard work and extra care. That is thoughtful and customary in this area when service goes "above and beyond."

Re: HATS OFF TO DELIVERY PEOPLE

Yes, hats off to the delivery people! It's almost 15 years since I had something large delivered to my small apartment. Those guys were great. And they removed the old furniture that I was replacing.

And also a shout out to the other delivery people. I know some of us have legitimate complaints, but my UPS delivery person is wonderful and I have nothing bad to say about USPS deliveries in my area either.

Re: HATS OFF TO DELIVERY PEOPLE

We were to get a new stove delivered. And the delivery man would not put the stove on his truck until he talked to the store Manager and us.

He saw that there was a dent in the stove. And after talking to us found out that we had not knowingly purchased a dented stove. The Manager wanted him to deliver it anyway. And he refused.

Was so impressed with him. Of course who is to say the store manager would not have blamed him for denting the stove.

The delivery man saved us the trouble of dealing with and trying to return a dented stove.

Re: HATS OFF TO DELIVERY PEOPLE

Reminded me to freeze some bottles of water for them. Above temps. UPS came after six p.m. yesterday which is late. The drivers then  have an hour drive to the UPS loading city.

One had a van and I asked what happened to the truck and he said the van was more comfortable to drive on the back. Sometimes I walk out to help get my pkgs. so they don't have to walk as far. Usually like some human conversation.

@Luvsmyfam I can't imagine why the bathroom door needed to be removed?  I guess you won't enlighten us?
