@mousiegirl   I've seen Valerie's new fruit and it's tempting but I really have plenty for that 7 1/2 ' glistening tree. I've usually used the garlands on the bottom and back but they're weighty and take more time. 
     I have the hanging fruit also. So I'm going to see how it looks. I usually put several birds of hers on it and will. 
    The shop across the street that's consignment has a few Colonial Williamsburg items and there are long picks for $8. Each, there's multiple fruit on each branch about a foot long.   It looks new. I was there today and they will sell it on approval they don't  run the credit card until the next day. I have some of the Williamsburg fruit and it's even nicer than Valerie's. I might return tomorrow, ha! 6 would work.
    I think you mean the topiaries in fruit and I have several in addition to the wreaths. I'm trying to skip  them and use the arrangements already there until after Thanksgiving,    Then, use the feathered trees with pearls I just found at Homegoods. They match the white birds I found there. 

    I tend to overdo trees, and then the lights are hidden. 
It is on the other back side of the living room in front of the window and white drapes, you can see it from the foyer passing by. To see the smaller delicate ornaments you would need to come into  the room . 
      I have many small mirrors that reflect the lights and cover spaces in the tree. I'll use those. 

      So much for keeping it simple, light and fast, ha! 
       We are kindred spirits!
