@Sassy7356, This Apple Swirel Loaf looks so very good. I might buy a Apple Crumble Pie to come close to it but I would love to have a thick slice of this!
Hugs!

THE BEATLES
TRIVIA: Do you remember the Ed Sullivan show?

@AnikaBrodie & all: I remember watching them on Ed Sullivan. But I also watched Elvis on it and was a huge Elvis fan! Later I understood how special the music of the Beatles was.
Today was breezy bit in the 60s so I went to the Cemetery and did three arrangements with flowers I found in the back garage. Some there have deteriorated due to the heat and age. They were lavender with some pink and white.
Afterward I went to the Commissary because my son is bringing Pizza shortly and I needed some dessert. Chocolate eclairs were fresh and simple. I got frozen dinners and creamer, coffee, juice. Not the big shopping I usually do there.
We just walked around the circle and my son closes at 5 on Sundays.

@1Snickers I remember the first time I had ever heard of the Beatles, was in High School, and it was one evening when a boyfriend called and played one of the Beatles songs, we were all hooked. My favorite of John's was Just Like Starting Over, great beat.

Recently I found a recipe for Lemon Berry Cornmeal Muffins, posted by Kristina Todini, RDN. As soon as I have all the ingredients I plan to make them for us. If I like the muffins I'll make them for a future Coffee Klatch brunch. You should be able to find the recipe by searching Lemon Berry Cornmeal Muffins.
We like plain cornmeal muffins but I think the addition of fruit and lemon is a nice alternative.

@1Snickers wrote:@lynnie61 Regarding cleaning up when a job is finished:
Since my husband passed 22 years ago I've learned to insist on complete contracts, and cleaning. At best it's never satisfactory.
Everyone: The HVAC installers finished yesterday about 4 and swept, ran their cleaner. I spent an hour finishing cleaning, and even washed the steps to the den.
I asked the installer to remove the oil filter from the old furnace from the wall with a hose across the steps and he said the oil company does that.
When I called the oil company this morning I asked them to do that and she said the installer does it. I've called and texted my installer this morning and they must be researching it. I won't pay until it's removed. It's in the contract!
Last night I didn't have a sniffy or clogged nose from pollen or polluted air! The whole house air purifier must work and the air inside is better. The thermostat print is small but I'm learning it and where to set it. I don't need it set as warm because the vents were cleaned. I get more air!
I've researched prices due to substitution on the air cleaner and when I asked if it was the same price as the one I signed for I was told it's a good cleaner. I can't find price because I don't know the model and it's a contractors price. I will keep asking until I have answers.
After three days at home I need to get out for my sanity, but I'm busy here with cleaning and laundry.
Poor Snickers has only had a short triangle walk early and I've carried her out under the umbrella due to rain all day. She's hiding in her bed now.
This too shall pass.....eventually!🏡 🪜🛠️⚙️💸 🐶☔️😵💫
@1Snickers I just read about all the mess your furnace replacement was, I hope mine isn't as bad and that they do a good clean up themselves. I didn't ask for a contract just an oral estimate for air/heater replacement. I hope I'm not sorry about that either. Live and learn I guess. They have been reliable and honest in the 14 years I've lived here and we're a small rural community ,even though third largest town in state , so maybe it is not even something they're used to to doing. I do know they put me first in line for air conditioner replacement because of me being homebound on my scooter. My nieces just got done cleaning my whole house and I hate to see it filthy so soon. I also wished I would of asked about an air filter but I haven't developed any allergies. I did ask about my humidifier on my old furnace and they said they would make sure it was attached to new one. You are very thorough which is needed a lot now a days!
@Sweet Caroline 1
That was a great idea calling authorities, that is their job making sure city ordinances are followed. Good luck!

@AnikaBrodie DH makes mini blueberry cornmeal muffins, and cornmeal pancakes, which have flour in them also. Lemon my favorite flavor, then most fruit.
Ina Garten made cormeal muffins filled with raspberry jam.

I like them, especially that they narrow as they go down leg. I hate when they are wide there and flare out. I would like them in navy, white and pink. I am really going stir crazy now especially now since ankle pain is subsiding and gone. I would love to shop and get outside. Next Thursday is surgeon appointment again, I hope I can begin some weight bearing soon.

It awokened me as a teenager, too young to travel to concerts but old enough to be a Beatlemaniac. I have been to two Paul concerts and saw Ringo last year.
