@1Snickers wrote:Hi everyone: Another beautiful windy day. After walks this morning and necessary coffee and bagel I called another duct cleaning company. The owner, a very nice lady answered the phone immediately and answered all of my questions and concerns.
The company is local nearby and they come Monday at 1 to clean them. They had very good reviews on the local neighborhood forums. She said she will do a free dryer vent cleaning also. I've only cleaned the lint screen and what I could reach inside and outside. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
I took newspapers to the store and my granddaughter's friend had Bobo there. He's a Leopard dog with beautiful blue eyes. I tried not to stare at them because some dogs don't like that. The store was getting crowded so she took him outside. He's not people friendly. Tony likes him and came running to see me for treats and hugs. He likes most people and is a good judge of character.
My granddaughter has received acceptance to all three colleges where she applied. We are so proud of her! It gives her the option if she wants to transfer from Shenandoah that she accepted.I shopped a bit and got more fruit and Dr Peppers were on sale. They can be heated and taste like Russian tea. I prefer them cold occasionally.
We had a nice, warmer walk around the circle while laundry finished.
Be cautious with snakes and critters waking up. This morning there were three of those small worm snakes on my brick walkway as we went out the back door.I had to bring Snickers back inside the garage to scoop them up and toss them in woods. They don't bite but have a semi toxic substance that could hurt a pet.
Then there are the bees, mosquitoes, I saw a fly.
I didn't miss any of them this Winter!

Hello @1Snickers and Everyone, This morning the pollen was as heavy and thick as I have ever seen it. Good grief! I also saw bees. I dread the mosquitoes, they can cover you in a fast minute. I've already decided to spray for them when they surface. They seem to live in the shrubs. I may even spring for a professional service to come out and spray. The weeds are up! I called my yard man and left a message for him to come when ready. I seem to have my date for tree and limb cutting, April 14th. They don't talk, they just text. ![]()
@1Snickers, Lucky girl getting your ducts cleaned. My younger sister loves Dr Pepper and drinks the diet. I'll tell her that you turn yours into tea.
Lately I've been taking notice of what the women are wearing when I'm out and about. They're really wearing everything. From this point on I'll be dressing in my capri's and cute tops. I want to step up a notch from tee shirts and look a little more put together.
Lots and lots of rain coming up in our future weather. Maybe wash away the pollen. Have a good afternoon and evening! Love ya!

@AnikaBrodie, Me too! I get real emotional when I hear it. And when Jackie Evancho sings the Lord's prayer. And when Susan Boyle sings I Dreamed a Dream. I Dreamed a Dream tears me up as I reflect on my life when married. Then I reach for the snacks.

Finally, the eye surgery scheduler called today, so am set for May 19. I will go in for four pre-op appointments in one day on April 28.
I have had a six month wait to see my PC on May 16, may get the blood tests earlier in the week just in case something is wrong, and get the EKG so that when I see her everything will have been done, since the surgery will be a few days later. Now all I have to worry about is smooth sailing and survival on surgery day.
I am going to try to get this house in some sort of order before then since I won't be able to do much for a while.
I receive emails when DD has posted on facebook and so I have been enjoying the animal and baby videos after I leave her site, they are wonderful, make me laugh listening to the babies laugh, no other laugh can beat that of a baby, and the precious pets comforting one if it is crying, so precious.
Another corned beef dinner, this time I will bake it, on Saturday, hamburgers on Sunday, leftovers were finished during the week, so will have to cook up a storm soon in order to have more. I fixed quesadillas last night with meat, onions, a leftover half of a bell pepper, refried beans, and cheese, or course. I ate a skinny half tortilla, DH's was stuffed to overflowing. He has half in the frig for another meal. I made my guacamole which I love, loads of red onion and cilantro, to top each slice of quesadilla.
Wishing everyone a pleasant weekend.
@mousiegirl, Please excuse my memory, is your eye surgery for cateracts. Thanks!

@1Snickers wrote:Hi everyone! Another nice day, 73. Tomorrow goes to 78. I don't have the new air conditioner yet but everything is ordered. I hope I can last until after Easter but the nights are cold still.
Rain is due on Monday so I changed the appointment to Wednesday at 1 for the duct cleaning which gives me more time to walk Snickers, my son opens later also. I told him to take a drink.
I asked for a military discount and they stopped it but have a $50 discount for cash so I'll give them a check.
Every discount helps and it doesn't hurt to ask.I've been throwing clutter out and arranging the garage shelves They are all on wheels now so they can be moved from the garage side I don't use for the furnace installation.
I think exterior painting will have to wait another year now. It will be more expensive now also but there wasn't time last year after chimney work and brick steps.
I should have bought a condo 20 years ago but then there are condo fees. Etc.My granddaughter is at Woodbridge Hall of Fame dance competitions this weekend. She dances Sunday. It's live but sometimes hard to follow on the I pad. I'll try!
Tomorrow will be warmer so Snickers gets her bath.
Have a great weekend all!

@1Snickers, I love reading about your doins. You do a lot quickly and that's wonderful. I hope that you get to enjoy your granddaughters dance competitions this weekend. Huggins for Snickers!

Dear @viva923, It's difficult to tell you everything that I want to say to you. As you go through the terrible times, reach out to your friends here, your family, your neighbor down the street, your Church. Scream when you need to scream and cry when you need to cry. I talk to my mother and father all the time and I know they can hear me. I asked the Lord to please send my words to them. I know they watch over me and your husband will watch over you. Talk to him all you want. We all have different ways of thinking about things but the Lord will not leave you in your time of broken heart. Cling to him and he will comfort you. My heart is filled with love and compassion for you. I hug your heart with my heart. ![]()

@Sweet Caroline 1 Yes, left eye. It has another condition which makes surgery more difficult, so fingers crossed. I won't think about it again until getting ready for the pre-op appointments, now will worry about EKG and blood results, lol, won't begin that until the week before surgery. It seems there is always something to worry about, but now that I have the dates, one less issue for now.
