Thank you @mousiegirl for explaining Ninny and Idgie. Ninny just knew everything about Idgie and everyone in the family and the town. But when the movie goes into Idgie's story, you never see Ninny as part of the characters in the movie plot. I think that's what confused me the whole time. Hugs!
