@hullie I had forgotten that you have had to sleep in your recliner. Whenever I sit in mine, I fall asleep within a short time, but it doesn't last, same happens in bed, a nap, then awake for hours and hours.

As for Mr. Dog, the area is losing the red, but still has some, so in another two days it should be gone. He didn't even try to lick it last night, guess he doesn't want the duster in his face, lol.

Come to my son's store for a free book! He was glad this year he wasn't dressing in a Batman costume in the 85 degree heat.
I'm glad he had helpers so I didn't have to go and contribute to the crowd. Sometimes there's a line out the door. He sent a photo of Tony snuggling in his bed behind the counter this morning. He's happy and safe there.
I escaped to Wendy's for a small jr. hamburger and kids frosty and picnic at the river. The water was brown and rough from wind. The blue sky had white fluffy clouds. Ladies who had played tennis were on benches and people had dogs. Nice!

After leaving the newspaper in my son's driveway there I stopped at the birdseed store and the owner had a deaf, blind dog she was keeping for had daughter. We talked awhile and I told her of the white Australian Shepherd my xDIL has. He is deaf and almost blind with blue eyes. They need a lot of care from special owners.
Then I got cokes on sale and a small cake for the strawberries I found yesterday. After rushing home I beat the man who was giving me the price for shrubs to be trimmed. He was too late to come last night so we rescheduled.

My regular yard man never replied to the photos I sent of those shrubs he planted that are overgrown. He's busy with grass I guess.
He seemed to know exactly what I need and will work me into his schedule depending on a rainy week ahead. The tree men just chop them but he kept telling me how he can thin them and take all the ones with thorns down from the dog fence. He will do camellias and shrubs around the house also. It will be expensive but he's highly recommended and reminds me of Ragner in the Vikings. So, he must be strong and seems to want the job.
Tomorrow will be a rainy day and we really need the rain. I have too much grass to water so rain is welcomed.

I was due for a haircut when I fell and I get some highlights to help camouflage the grey. It is really long now and driving me crazy. I should make an appointment for when I am able to drive again so I can get right in. Glad you found a good hairdresser viva, you are already getting established in your new area.

@Sweet Caroline 1 Keep rewarding yourself with peace, no guilt. It is important to maintain a healthy emotional state. You won't be of help to anyone if you don't. My sister in assisted living misses her porch swing that she used to sit in every day so make sure you are enjoying yours!

Oooooo... I felt that hug @Tissyanne! Thank you! I figured out that it's ok to take a break from my soap opera sisters but I could have handled it in a much better way. Thats why I'm feeling guilt. I want to send them apology texts and request a time of seclusion for emotional healing. This will also (I hope) open their eyes to realize what all I do. I think my heart will feel better after this and a load will be lifted. Love and Hugs back to you!

Everyone, we woke up to 44 degrees this morning. Our heater came on, and felt good. We should warm to 70, and then more rain forecast next week. It has been nice to have the moisture.

@Sweet Caroline 1 I feel for you. Your sister seems to be what is known as toxic for you, and if she were not your sister, I imagine it would be easier to cut the ties. Maybe if you just ignored her, she would have no choice but to go to your younger sister. Because you are always there for her, she doesn't need to go to another person, but for your own sake, you could try this. I would tell her from now on to go to the younger sister as you are done with the situation. Sharing is only fair, lol. Nothing will change as long as you are there letting her take advantage of you.

I had to do this with a toxic member of the family in order to get on with life in a healthy way.

Please do not feel guilty, you have done more than can be expected of anyone, and enough is more than enough. Take care of yourself.
