Like @tansy, my goal is to be more patient with my husband. I need to be a better listener because he has few other people in his life anymore to talk to other than me. I need remember that he does not feel well and pain changes a person. I need to try to find activities we can do together that he will enjoy.
My other goal is to quit buying so many clothes. My winter lifestyle is 90% at home, so why do I need so many clothes? I keep buying for the life I used to have, or the life I wish I had. And that's stupid because I am happy with my life! I love clothes and I need to enjoy reading/watching instead of buying.

I am on audiobook 4 of the Julia Spencer-Fleming series that you mentioned a while back. I had never run across the author. I finish one and get on Libby for the next one.
I am eager to see how the characters' relationship progresses.

I am going to be publishing in a new genre and taking my vacation days at the day job next year even if I stay home and enjoy myself.
Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful new year. 🍸❤️

Other than the first sentence, @Laura14, that all sounds rather ominous![]()
Hope the new book venture is a hit.

What are you doing toward this goal? My PC dr. is at me tooth and nail to get back on one of those infusion meds again because of my terribly bad osteoporosis and I really don't want to but she has me so scared not to! I am exercising more but I don't know if this is enougj???? I can't take the pills because of my bad stomach.
Please read my post #9.
ETA-
Including the walk on the treadmill, the resistance/weight-bearing exercises and the stretching, it takes me at least over an hour everyday. I do that religiously.
Thanks!

***I want to learn to say NO more often
***Try to keep my walking schedule even through the freezing weather
***Staying healthy! So far nothing broken, replaced, sprained or hurting.
***Being nimble....cleaning, dusting, etc. and taking care of my new place although DH helps out.
***Stretching and light (2 lb.) hand weights every day.
***Seeing my family more and eliminating friends that aggravate me.
***Being less sentimental so I can part with dishes, jewelry, etc. inherited. I have a storage unit still filled with "stuff" I need to donate.
***Hope Molly stays well. You never have enough time with a loving pet.
***Staying grateful for my DH still with me and wishing him good health.
***Grateful for being able to still paint and enjoy journaling and reading. Hobbies are important to keep my mind clear and active.
I'm sure there are more goals and things to continue into 2026.

I see lots of good goals here and I have some of the same.
I would like to find a hobby that I would enjoy. Find a passion of some sort.
I am going to replace some items in my home this year. Starting with a new bed and go from there. I have a list and a plan. I just hate looking for new items but this is the year for upgrades. They say February is a good time to buy a bed. I also want to go from a King to a Queen.

I'm going to continue using my elliptical 4-5 days a week, and watching how much I eat--I've lost 42 lbs. over the last 3 years doing this. Yes, it's slow, but it's been relatively painless. I get in 2-3 miles of "steps" on the days I use it, plus whatever walking I do in the course of a day.
I'm not depriving myself of much of anything food-wise, that's a sure way to failure for me! I'm doing more portion control--like 1/2 sandwich with a handful of mini-pretzels for lunch, instead of a whole sandwich and 2-3 handfuls of pretzels. I have cut way down on sweets, but still eat them sometimes. My A1C has come down a bit--I am not diabetic--my BP is under better control and my cholesterol numbers are better (still on BP & cholesterol meds, just getting better results). My doctor is pleased with my progress...and so am I!
