That is very scary. Hope you're OK soon. As far as these spiders being in New York, I live upstate and a woman I work out with at the Y had the same thing happen to her. She's fine now but I saw her on her first day back to the club. All I can say is you were very wise to have this taken care of as quickly as you did.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
