@occasionalrain

I'd like to see my poor lawnman try to mow/weed-eat and blow off our place with electric.

I can't believe this law will pass.  Maybe some places with with virtually no lot, but not most of America.  Poor Californians Smiley Sad

Where are "some areas" that are outlawing them? They sure aren't where I live. Big Brother local municipalities need to stop making these laws without getting a plurality of the vote for it.

I've read that gas powered lawn equipment is one of the worst polluters of our air.

We have switched to electric for mower, weed wacker which my husband uses as an edger also and leaf/clippings blower.

I run and close all my windows when my neighbors get their lawn done.  The noise alone is horrible.

I do realize the effects of using electric powered equipment, too.  It's bad for the enviroment also.  Electricity is not clean.

I also read the taking a plane from one coast to the other is as bad as driving an SUV for 30 straight days non-stop.  That gives me pause, too.

Also, the use of home clothes dryers is bad for the enviroment and your wallet.

You really have to pick your battles.  What works best for all, not just you.

I just went to a battery powered lawn mower and love it!!!  It's lighter weight than my gas mower, turns on a dime, and does a much better job than my gas mower.  I was able to do my huge yard in 1/2 the time it took with my gas mower.

All my tools/equipment are battery operated except for the snowblower. When my snowblower goes, I will get a battery powered one.

Oh goodie.  More batteries.

You can use gas if you want. We all have a choice.

All I know is that my battery operated equipment is much more efficient and easier to use. It's my personal protest against big oil. They won't miss me but I feel better.

All the batteries for outdoor equipment are rechargable. Some of mine are 4 years old, much longer than a can of gas.
