@ccassaday Call again and this time get their name. Try to get their location of the call center that they are in and make sure you mention that you have the receipt for the equipment that you returned and where you returned it to"
When you finish the call, be sure to end with something like....."thanks (their name)......
That way the service rep knows that you know their name and their location so if you have to call again, you will at least have some information to show that you already resolved their issue. They probably also bill in advance, so the equipment might have been removed after the bill was generated.
Unfortunately, you might have to go back to the place you returned the boxes with your receipt to speak to someone in person. Make sure you get their names, I find that if I tell them the last person that I spoke with, it helps if I have a further issue.

We have Frontier phone and cable here at work and never have any problems.
You need to EXPECT these stupid things to happen and not let them put you in a tizzy!
We just finally moved into our new built home after a 9 week delay beyond completion date and so many gitches I would need a volume to tell you all.
I cancelled Verizon when I went into temp housing. They continued to take TWO more months of payments out of my account after I moved! It took dozens of phone calls and 3 FULL months to get my money back.
Sorry to say, these things will happen. Incompetence reigns quite frequently in the work place.
Try not to let it drive you nuts...you have a long way to go before your house is complete. If this is the worse annoyance you have to go through, consider yourself very lucky.
I pray the rest goes smoothly for your family!!

This has nothing really to do with the house. It's just annoying. We already closed on the permanent loan before we started with a one time close so I wasn't worried about it affecting the loan.

@ccassaday Go to their facebook page... all you read are customer complaints one after the other... I really wonder how they stay in business? I would never deal with them... Comcast is bad enough!

I have Frontier for internet access and phone. For cable I have Comcast. Comcast has been trying to convince me to bundle for years. A couple of years ago they came to the door again with a contract - I was really busy and asked them to email me the details. The Comcast salesmen took this as a yes. They arranged an install appointment and turned off my phone and ported my phone number. I did not realize my landline was dead for a few days. I called Frontier thinking it was them. They arranged for a temporary phone number for me until Comcast would release my phone number. When it was released they put everything back the way it was. Everyone I talked to was polite and did what the said they were going to do. They even lowered my bill. I cannot say enough nice things about Frontier - now Comcast is a different story!
