1)  My two cats - in particular the 15 year old. We thought we were losing her last fall, but she rallied and she's still here today.

2)  The treetops full of birds and squirrels - we live on a hill, so my livingroom looks out onto the treetops, which makes me feel like I'm living in a treehouse sometimes.

3)  My cup of tea - when I make myself a cup of tea I feel like I'm giving myself a warm hug, and I think I deserve that.

4)  Our new patio umbrella - it reminds me that summer break is four weeks away and I'll have some precious time for myself.

5)  My pile of books - I always start gathering a pile of books this time of year, in anticipation for reading them during the summer.

My bird Presto is sitting on my left arm.  There's a cup of Maxwell House coffee in front of me.  The sun is shining.  The grass is finally dry enough for me to mow it today (first time this season).  My silver maple has small leaves on it.
