Football Exciting for You Today?

Curious if lots here watch football. Haven't watched a game in a few years and kind of miss the excitement. Will watch the pre-game today as my favorite 2 newscasters will be hosting.

The Broncos are our local team. Will have to see if I missed much in knowing how the game works and catch up with any new rules?

@rockygems123. I never miss a Philadelphia Eagles game and as I get more into the season, I watch others too. My dad was a big Broncos fan so sometimes I watch them but not so much without John Elway.

Both the Giants and Jets--not playing each other--are on TV here in Chicago. Looking forward to the game tonight between Baltimore and Buffalo. Go Bills!!!

I'm not a super sports fan, and yet of all the sports, I've always enjoyed and understood football the best.

I will occasionally watch, especially during high times like playoffs, Superbowl, sometimes. Some years more than others...like when I was really into the Giants (still consider them "my team" and yet, couldn't tell you the current coach or quarterback. I'm in CT, we're usually split here between Patriots fans and Giants, and in baseball, Yankees or Red Sox. My dad and all my uncles were Giants fans, so that's my team.)

I do hate how in recent years many sports and players have gotten political so that kind of got us "caring less" with bad taste in our mouth.

But all that said....I've also always enjoyed live games of any kind, more than watching on tv. So, in recent years, we've gotten into our local high school football games...it's a fun night out on a crisp fall night...and supporting the local kids is fun.

Also enjoy DGD's soccer games.

And in Cape Cod the past few years we've gone to the baseball there, which I only found out about recently, that they are the league where the pros scout out players from, and they are excellent. BF loves BB, I'll never "get" all the ins and outs of it, but we've been going to at least one game while on the Cape each summer now, and it's fun.

But..back to football....I'm always a little invested in the football season, and it's fun to add to this time of year's fall activities. Enjoy!

PS. @rockygems123 Did you ever watch "Friday Night Lights" tv show? I binge it every now and then. One off the best written/acted shows on tv, once of my favs.

My husband is watching a local bike race.

My son went to a Theatre built in 1924 in Upper Perkiomen Valley to see the film "Metropolis".

I am in the process of doing 5 loads of wash.

So no one in our family is watching football. Must admit I didn't have a clue that there were new rules. Thanks for the update.

PS - We were season ticket holders for the Phillies for 25+ years.

Lions fan here. It will definately be on. Tigers are on too. Busy sports day with US Open Men's tennis final on too.

sports is my middle name, lol. Huge Detroit Lions fan. They play at Green Bay today. Also a TB Bucs supporter as my second team, since we moved to the Tampa Bay area. Guy across the street erected a Buccaneers flag in his front yard yesterday. I like Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow. But brand new girl dad Jared Goff is the Man. 😄 now the teams i can't stand are the Packers, Bears, Chiefs, Eagles, Cowboys in that order. First two because they are in the NFC North and arch rivals of Detroit. Last three mostly because of their fan bases 😉

Must change out of my church clothes and into my Lions tee 🦁

All in good fun. Football passes the time until hockey starts 🙌
