@Andreatoo Significant Other and I have a sandwich once or twice a week for lunch.
I order these when out and about but more often make these at home. Order or make my own sides, too. Home made potato salad, pasta salad, or coleslaw, depending on the sandwich. I do use commercially made sauerkraut on the Reuben.
Pastrami and Provolone on rye bread with seeds, smeared with Colman's hot mustard
Corned Beef Reuben with hot mustard again
Boars Head Tavern Ham and Turkey breast on seeded rye with Swiss cheese, Dickinsons cranberry relish, Dukes mayo and hot mustard. Sometimes I make this with Dave's Killer bread, which stays fresh much longer than other brands of multi- grained bread.
Boars Head RARE Roast Beef on a hard roll with horseradish sauce
All Italian Sub sandwich with double filling of: ham, hard salami, mortadella, pepperoni, fontina cheese, Provolne cheese, oregano, hot peppers, finely chopped onion, shredded lettuce, tomatoes and oil and vinegar* copycat version of G Man sub made by Mangialardos sandwich shop in Capitol Hill very near my home.
Fish filet and melted cheddar on hamburger bun with dill relish tartar sauce (my version of McDonald's Filet o' Fish) and sometimes heat up a frozen salmon patty in lieu of the white fish filet.
Egg, and Bacon or Ham & on an English muffin, with melted cheddar cheese.
Tuna melt on Dave's Killer Bread.
Now, I am craving a sandwich!

Not a huge fan of sammies altho I do like a good one--am trying to not eat so many carbs--I like stuff on buns or artisan bread more so than just slices of bread--am really craving a french dip one tho---
and a patty melt would make my day-----

Not a big sandwich making person at home except for during the summer I make BLT's with fresh tomatoes from the garden. Grilled cheese with tomato soup from time to time. The two sandwiches I do like when out, turkey reuben and ham & provolone from Jersey Mikes. The turkey reuben is not common but I always look for it.

Also, I like a fresh ciabatta roll (vegan please!) with tomato and onion, salt, cracked pepper and a drizzle of olive oil. Yum!
@Lucky Charm I eat 1/2 of a toasted dry Ezekiel 4:7 English muffin (the orange wrapper) most days for breakfast.
Care to share your recipe for hummus? I haven't made it for years because, well, basically my attempts were failures.☹️
@magicmoodz I've never tried the english muffins, the only other Ezekiel bread I've had is the low sodium one, if mine isn't available. (Should've said that I don't eat the sandwich frozen, but making it w/frozen bread keeps it fresher.)
I prefer black beans for hummus although I do use cannellini or northern beans and always (15 oz. ) canned and I rinse, rinse, rinse. I've never used chick peas!
I tweak the recipe as it calls for garlic (I can't remember how much!), but I roast a whole head of garlic as I don't like the raw in homemade.
It also called for 1 or 2 tbsp. lemon juice, but I rarely put that in. So go by taste.
1 1/2 tbsp tahini--geez I use much more
3/4 tsp cumin---(more....lol)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper---(more!)
1/2 tsp salt
I drizzle a bit of olive oil in the food processor with everything else, since I forgo the lemon juice. I just whip it up and add more (of anything) for taste.
Black beans are sweet to me, so it's a sweet and savory taste, with a little kick.

I rarely eat a sandwich and when I do, I make it on an English muffins. My last sandwich was about a week ago, tuna with tomatoes and onions on an English muffins. I never order sandwiches in restaurants. Never even occurs to me. Actually, there are no sandwich eaters in the house. The bread is for toast.

I love hummus! Why no chick peas? I've seen it prepared with other beans but I've never tried them.
Trader Joe's has great hummus. There's a seasonal one, dill pickle, that is outrageous! Otherwise I usually buy the Sabra roasted red pepper...

Thank you! I have never tried making hummus with black beans and I love the idea of ROASTING garlic. As I recall mine always tasted a little bitter. I can see where the black beans would add a bit of sweetness. I can't wait to try this. Thank you again!
I agree. Both Trader Joe's and Sabra are good. I always used to buy Roasted Red Pepper, but lately opt for Plain or Classic.

Oh I don't mind the chick peas. I'm eating Whole Food's Jalepeno hummus right now made with chicks.
But for homemade, I always have other beans on hand.
I'd tasted the black bean at my favorite restaurant and so that's my fave.
