Food Talk: What is your favorite...........

Sandwich? Do you eat a lot of sandwiches?

I can't even buy a loaf of bread without it going bad....There was always one in my lunchbox as a child, apparently creamcheese and jelly in my younger years, but as an adult it's rare..

And given the bread is crucial (and never the same depending on what's in it) I'd have to have a few different kinds on hand!

Which wich do you order when you go out? What do you make at home?

Depends on where I go.  If I am going to a Diner, I am inclined to order a BLT or a Hot Roast Beef sandwhich depending on the season.

When I am home I get lunchmeat, either Ham or chicken or turkey.  I am not a fan of Chicken salad and there is NO place for tuna in my life.  YUK.

Often I will eat a Peanut Butter and Jelly or a Grilled cheese.  It is just me now so my meals are simple.

@Andreatoo  If I'm eating out, I will usually aim for a burger in lieu of a sandwich but at home I will make a variety of sandwiches.  If I feel like a sub, I will use Italian cold cuts.  Otherwise, I enjoying making a BLT on toasted bread.  Another sandwich I like is homemade tuna salad on rye or pumpernickel.  🍔🍞

My favorite is a grilled cheese sandwich made with whole wheat bread.  I make them a lot at home and if I go into a restaurant and they are on the menu I'll often order them along with a side of fries.

For me its a grilled cheese, or a veggie sandwich when out. Starbucks has a great tomato mozzarella, basil pesto sandwich,

While I'm not crazy about making sandwiches, I like subs from Subway, Jimmy John's and Cousins. Tuna, seafood, teriyaki chicken and cold cut combos have found their way home with me!

I'm not a big sandwich person for myself.  I will occasionally make a PB&J sandwich for grandkids, but not me.  However, I will never turndown a Subway.

The only thing I do with bread is occasionally make toast with butter.

I am not a sandwich eater.  The only sandwich I eat on sliced bread is a summertime (with Jersey tomatoes) BLT. The bread is lightly toast and dry, NEVER mayonnaise.

Take-out sandwich is an occasional meatball (I'm fussy about meatballs) or grilled chicken with sauteed onions, tomato sauce and fresh basil. I always ask the roll be NOT toasted.

I don't love sandwiches - although we are making BLTs tonight for dinner since it's about eleventy-billion degrees out.  I've tried to freeze half a loaf of bread but don't like the texture, so much is wasted.
