Finally got our power back on

We were w/o power from Thursday (8-24) at 9:45 pm untill Monday (8-28) at 3:13 pm.

We are so glad we have a Generac and altho it didn't include all things electrical in our house,we could flush the toilet, take a shower and keep our freezers and fridge going.No computer but we managed. We live in Michigan on the west side of the state and there were (still are) lots of trees down. I know the electric company is working hard to get things back to normal.

Hi @Group 5 minus 1 Glad you are okay! Getting a Generac was the best investment we ever made. Our house is small so we got one that covers everything, We were just told not to go crazy by turning everything on all at once. The only thing is that even though our central ac runs it doesn't cool the house so we turn it off if there is a power failure.

I'm glad the power is finally back on; hopefully everyone is safe.

Everyone I know who has a Generac has said they've been a lifesaver for the outages. Hope everyone else in your area gets their power back as well.

Wow, that was a long one. Glad you are all well. Busy time once it is back, for me the laundry just grows and grows.

We were w/out power for about 92 hours. Our generator was wonderful. Kept our fridges and freezers going and no loss of food.

@Group 5 minus 1 that's of my biggest concerns and a big reason why we got the Generac...... so there is no loss of food. I make a lot of pasta sauces that I freeze. I also keep a lot of meat and poultry in the freezer. I definitely don't want it to all go bad.
