Re: Feeling Summer's Heat at the Bird's Nest - August 2019

@Bird mama

Glad to hear Finley continues to do well.  It sounds like she’s getting even more comfortable in her new home.  Maybe she’ll decide to stay!😃

I wish my dog would be so cool about me trimming her nails.  The cats are okay about it, although one gets squirmy so I have to be quick.  Which is getting harder as my hand/eye coordination gets worse!  ☺️

@geezerette   My two pups won't let me trim their nails, so have to take them once a month to a groomer just for that, I bathe them,  I had large dogs before and used a dremmel, no problem, but these two little squirts turn themselves inside out, lol.  No problem at the groomer's, but the male shakes like crazy until they come for him, lol.

Mousie,  When I used to show Doberman's I had to keep their paws looking tight and cat like.  I used a dremel too after I knicked the 'quick' once with the clippers that were for that purpose.   I had a yellow powder that stopped the bleeding immediately, but I felt so bad.   Doing the hind paws,  I had to postition myself like a blacksmith trimming a horse's hoof. Cat Very Happy

 I used to do the cat's claws as I've never had my cats declawed.  (The house shows it, LOL)  I bought plenty of perches, sharpening things for them to do it themselves and most of the time that was sufficient.   Mattie loves to tear into cardboard boxes and usually ends up shredding them.  Thank goodness for quick vacuums.

Thanks @Bird mama I've been so eager for an update.  How does she travel upstairs?  Any flying, or just short hops?  Does she go outside?  Maybe Finley is home!
