@possummink   I'm sorry to read the your brother is struggling to breathe or catch his breath.  Both of my parents had COPD so when I read about someone having breathing issues it gets next to me. 

Considering how closely the lung and hearts work together to allow a human to function I would also have thought cardiac issues would have been investigated/ruled out.

Then again, I'm flashing back to the time when doctors used to actually diagnose people.  Today they 'rule out' one thing at a time.
