I was rescued on the Grill - thank goodness. Was still struggling with that ornary thing when DAvey's Dad showed up to take him away!!!!! Probably not long enough but he asked me what I was doing and within about 5 minutes he had it assembled correctly and that was that.

Spix am heating up the rest of my fried cabbage and warming up a couple pieces of cornbread. My house is blissfully quiet - not sure it it will stay that way for the evening but sure hope so.

Beautiful day here in Sou Cal - actually quite warm out in the sun - of course it was freezing early morning.

Beautiful day in Sou Cal today. Got some weed spraying done but need to do more tomorrow. Finished up my fried cabbage so that is that. Now to figure out what for tomorrow - have a lot of time to do that. Also filled the Hummer feeders.

Super Bowl is kind of scary to me. Carolina Panthers are from my home state so kind of want them to win. BUT also think Peyton Manning is such a good person AND good football player so would like to see him win as perhaps this is his last year in the Football. My goodness nothing is real easy is it?

Am really tired and I have had a glorious peaceful day. Have enjoyed every single minute. Shortly I think Tessa and little ones will be back - would like to have had some more time but what can I say. Davey is still with his Dad until tomorrow - that however is a blessing. Now before anyone asks, I know tomorrow is school but Davey got suspended for something dumb. Am very upset with that boy and I told his Dad he may just get him back regardless of his circumstances - we shall see.

Sorry off topic. All of a sudden I need to enter both my email address and password to enter the site. I tried posting in electronics but no post showed. Do I need to do something in preferences? I usually just need to enter password.

Betty, I have to post both occasionally - and ALWAYS if my computer has been off - not just off for the night but like unplugged or something.You can stay and visit anyway. LOL.

I hate it when it won't do what I want it to. Merle didn't take his iPad so I signed in on it and it came up only asking for password. I went through all the settings and passwords and they are the same. So why do I need to put my email address in every time I sign in on my mini.

We we are supposed to get snow today and tonight. Hoping it will be over by Wednesday cause I have a cardiology appt at 6:45 am. Merle had to go to Ky so we had to make separate appts. The weather was fine fir his of course.

So so far I have accomplished nothing so better get my act together. Maybe next time I log in it will be ok

Freddie, I'm sorry that Davey got suspended for a couple of days. At least his Dad remembered to come get him this time.

Betty, any time I log onto the forums be it from a computer running windows 7 and using internet explorer or my tablet running android, I always have to sign in once with my user name and password.

Any news about Scott?

Short of going to the dentist for my semi annual teeth cleaning and doing the usual chores around the house, I had a quiet weekend. I didn't watch the Superbowl so I missed the new commercials. Now, if Peyton retires he'll have 2 superbowl rings, right?

It's overcast and should be near 40 today. This weekend we are expected to be in the grip of a cold snap with highs no greater than 20 degrees - brrrrrrr.

Very very sad day here. WE had to put one of our abysinnian kitties down who was only 6. He had a non cureable illness. I knew it was time as he was so weak. Our friend/vet came down and put him down with Ron holding him. I just couldn't go so I stayed behind and cried. We are both grieving terribly as we are both so attached to him.
