@isaboo   Last Christmas my husband and I did not host Christmas as usual, there was a family conflict (it did not involve me or my husband) but it was enough of a conflict between a parent and child that we were not interested in an awkward evening that was supposed to be fun.

 

I think those involved were quite surprised at our decision but I hope we made our point...either everyone gets along or we're done.  I am not good at pretending I am having a good time.

 

The situation seems to have gotten better so we hope to get together this Christmas. 

 

If things don't resolve for you...just make new traditions, if you are able take a trip over the holiday.   My immediate family does not get along, my sister was always angry about something...just ridiculous.
