@Trinity11   LOLOL....I had a glimpse of interest in these meals I never heard of because I cook and prepare everything I eat from stratch and in the summer in AZ it is A CHORE!

However, THANKS FOR POSTING because I lost 100 lbs 19 years ago and kept that weight off...the THOUGHT of gaining weight to avoid drudgery of meal prep made me very anxious so I'll stick to what I'm doing...thanks, again!

@pdlinda.  Congrats on keeping that weight off.  Lots of hard work, as many of us know, and a remarkable feat.

I've always been tempted to try them, but cooking the dinners in plastic makes me shy away.  Also wondered about the sodium.

We've tried a few different meal delivery services.  The ones I like the best are Marley Spoon (only if you like a LOT of meal prep) and Hungryroot. Normally I purchase items from Hungryroot that I can't find locally.........salmon, steelhead trout, scallops, shrimp - all of it comes from  Egg Harbor Seafood. They allow a lot of customization within each meal.

Since I lost my husband I’ve been getting Hello Fresh. There are a lot of different meal delivery plans to choose from but I just landed on this, based on family members recommendation. I like that just the amount I need is included instead of having to buy a whole head of cabbage, for example. I feel like it’s forcing me to go in the kitchen and cook and I feel like I’m eating well. The recipes tell you to salt everything but I can control the amount that goes in vs ready made meals.

@Kachina624

Thank you for acknowledging that what I go through each and every day is NOT EASY, but it is VERY SIMPLE!

If I want to maintain my excellent health and not slide into a 40-year yo-yo dieting saga that produced misery and torment, I have to be diligent in maintaining my lifestyle every single day.

Believe me, if there were another way to achieve the results I have, I'D HAVE FOUND ITSmiley LOL

I've seen a prepared meal service that is based on the Mediterranean diet.  If I were to try another, that would be it.  Sounds very tasty, much like what @pdlinda has been eating.

Hello Fresh is something I'd be interested in @Teddie .

@San Antonio Gal, I’d be happy to answer any questions if I’m able. If you look at their meals you can see if it’s something that appeals to you. If you don’t mind cooking then you might like it.

Factor Meals was the sponsor for Kim Gravel's podcast. Don't know whether they still are. She attributed Factor as a reason for her weight loss.

I googled reviews on them and decided against signing up.

I considered signing up for a prepared meal service. But they're expensive. And I'm a picky eater. DH is worse. So for the time being I'm still cooking.

Oh, ONE MORE THING!

I never eat after 7PM.  Good Luck!
